NDIS Code of Conduct
Sunset Care Services is committed to providing services that are safe, respectful, and person-centred. As a registered NDIS provider, we require all workers to comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct and uphold the rights of every participant.
Our commitment
Every participant has the right to:
- Be treated with dignity and respect.
- Make their own choices and decisions.
- Receive supports that promote independence and inclusion.
- Feel safe and free from abuse, neglect, exploitation, violence, and discrimination.
- Have their privacy and confidentiality respected.
- Raise concerns or make complaints without fear of negative consequences.
Our workers will
All Sunset Care Services workers are expected to:
- Act with respect for each participant’s individual rights.
- Deliver supports safely and competently.
- Communicate honestly, openly, and professionally.
- Respect privacy and maintain confidentiality.
- Support participants to exercise choice and control.
- Prevent and respond appropriately to risks to participant safety.
- Report incidents, concerns, and suspected misconduct in accordance with legal and organisational requirements.
- Continue developing their skills through ongoing learning and professional development.
Zero tolerance
Sunset Care Services has zero tolerance for:
- Abuse or neglect.
- Violence.
- Bullying or harassment.
- Discrimination.
- Fraud or exploitation.
- Unlawful or unethical conduct.
Any concerns relating to worker conduct are investigated promptly and appropriate action is taken.
Continuous improvement
We regularly review our policies, procedures, and practices to ensure we continue meeting the expectations of participants, families, the NDIS Practice Standards, and the NDIS Code of Conduct.
